Event Description

Peter Baehr is a Research Professor in Social Theory at Lingnan University, Hong Kong, and is the Raymond Aron Fellow at Boston University’s Institute for the Advancement of Social Sciences.  He is the author of many books, including Caesar and the Fading of the Roman World, which was a Choice “Outstanding Academic Book of 1998”; Dictatorship in History and Theory; Hannah Arendt, Totalitarianism and the Social Sciences; and The Unmasking Style in Social Theory.  He is currently editing The Penguin Book of Dictators.  His work has been translated into ten languages.
