Event Description

Michael Lewis is the Faison-Pierson-Stoddard Professor of Art History at Williams College, where he has taught modern architecture and American art since 1993. He is also the architecture critic for the Wall Street Journal.  He has taught at Bryn Mawr College, McGill College in Montreal, and the University of Natal in South Africa.  His books include August Reichensperger: The Politics of the German Gothic Revival (1993), and Art and Architecture (2006).  His most recent book, City of Refuge (2016), a study of millennial utopias, was supported by a Guggenheim Fellowship.
