Event Description

The staged reading, co-sponsored by CLAFI and the UCLA Law School and presented by the award-winning Interact Theatre Company, is free and open to all.  No RSVP is needed.  Light refreshments will be available.

The Interact Theatre Company is an acclaimed Los Angeles-based group of actors and directors. They have put on numerous play readings, and frequently collaborate with CLAFI, including most recently performing live readings of Oedipus the King and All My Sons by Arthur Miller.

Other People’s Money was a big hit in New York in 1989 and later made into a movie with Danny DeVito.  You may find it a bit dated if you think the desire for money and other rapacious appetites went out with the 80s, but this is as good as entertainment gets.  Guess who described it this way: “Other People’s Money is an extraordinarily insightful, timely, and witty play.”  Did you guess Donald Trump?  Whatever you may think of his other pronouncements, here he is right on the money (other people’s, no doubt).
