Event Description

In addition to this seminar, Anthony Kronman will be giving a lecture entitled “Is Ours a Godless Age?” on November 2. For more information on this lecture, please visit the event page.

Registration for the seminar is free and open to the public. However, because capacity is limited, advance enrollment is necessary. This will be done primarily on a first come, first served basis. Readings will be distributed in advance to participants, who will be expected to read them and participate actively in the discussion. A pizza lunch will be delivered at the end of the seminar. To enroll, please e-mail Professor Daniel Lowenstein at

Anthony Kronman is Sterling Professor of Law at Yale Law School. A former Dean of Yale Law School, Professor Kronman teaches in the areas of contracts, bankruptcy, jurisprudence, social theory, and professional responsibility. His most recent book is Confessions of a Born-Again Pagan. Others include Education’s End: Why Our Colleges and Universities Have Given Up on the Meaning of Life; Max Weber; and The Lost Lawyer: Failing Ideals of the Legal Profession.
